This unique house Chan + Eayrs is a weaver’s home, it’s a contemporary yet sympathetic renovation of a Huguenot Townhouse, which is an amazing combo of antique and up-to-date, which looks breathtaking.
The living room is done in neutrals, clad with light-colored and warm-colored wood and with dark green framed windows, which is very eye-catching. There are many potted plants and greenery that echo with the frames. The artworks hint on the origins of the house and accessories and decor seem to be taken from the times when the house was built.
The dining room features the same dark greens and blue tones that connect the spaces. The windows are also framed in green, and there are rich velvet draperies in the same color. There’s a wooden dining table and upholstered light blue chairs. One wall is an accent one in dark green, there’s a woven chair and a hearth, some vintage furniture and planters.
The kitchen is done in untreated wood and marble plus brass accents – I’ve never seen a more unique combo of materials! Vintage lamps and lights, much potted greenery. The kitchen also features a dining space, a hearth and a woven chair.
